خلاصه داستان: افغانستان پيش از اشغال توسط روس ها. دو پسربچه، «امير» و «حسن»، بدون توجه به اختلاف طبقاتي که دارند، دوستان صميمي هستند. در حالي که «بابا»، پدر امير از بابت اين رفاقت چندان رضايت ندارد. وقتي «حسن» مورد اذيت و آزار قلدرهاي محله قرار مي گيرد، «امير» هيچ کمکي به او نمي کند. اما بيست سال بعد که طالبان قدرت را به دست گرفته اند، «امير» براي اداي دينش به «حسن» به افغانستان باز مي گردد...
